4 Tips for Managing Stress After Trauma

Many members of our communities are going through hard situations and are overcoming traumatic events. It’s important to us at Health Choice to do what we can to help ease the stress that our patients are facing. In order to do so we want to share some of the four simplest things the CDC recommends helping navigate managing stress after going through something traumatic:

  • Avoid drugs and alcohol to reduce the risks of adding long term stressors
  • Find support through a trusted person in your life
  • Connect socially even when it seems easier to isolate yourself
  • Take care of yourself physically through diet, exercise, sleep, and maintaining a routine

If you’re feeling down, there is nothing wrong with asking for help from valuable available resources. Check out the link at the bottom of this post for more from the CDC.

Our centers hours are 8:00 am to 8:00pm every day of the week- no appointment necessary! You can also use our Save My Spot program here or our Telemedicine program here. If you need us, we look forward to helping you Get Better. Faster!
